This site is run by You Sew Creative, a sole-trader craft-pattern studio based in Lisbon, Portugal. This page explains what happens to your email address if you sign up for the newsletter. It is short because very little happens.
Only what you type into the newsletter form: your email address, and your first name if you choose to give it. Nothing else. The fabric calculator runs entirely in your browser — the numbers you enter are never sent anywhere and are gone when you close the tab.
To send you the free Stitch by Stitch guide and the fortnightly newsletter you asked for. Our legal basis is your consent, given when you tick the box and confirm through the email we send you. We do not add anyone to the list without that confirmation, and buying a pattern does not sign you up for anything.
With Kit (Kit.com, formerly ConvertKit), our email provider, on servers in the United States under standard contractual clauses. Kit processes the data on our instructions and does not use it for its own purposes. We never sell, rent or share your address with anyone else.
Until you unsubscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, one click, no questions. Addresses that have not opened anything in two years are removed.

Write to [email protected] and we will action it within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we respond, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD.
This site sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics, and loads no fonts or scripts from third parties. If you submit the newsletter form, Kit may set a cookie to remember that you have already subscribed so it stops showing you the form.
Patterns are sold through Etsy, not here. When you buy, Etsy handles your order and payment data under its own privacy policy, and we only see what Etsy shows us as a seller. We do not copy buyer addresses from Etsy onto this newsletter list.
