How big will my chart come out?
3″ per side is the usual allowance for framing or finishing. Drop to 2″ for a small piece, go to 4″ if it will be stretched over a frame.

Backing, batting and binding
Binding length includes 12″ for joining the strips and turning the corners. Strips are cut across the width of the fabric, 42″ usable.
How many squares from my fabric?
Based on 42″ usable width after the selvedges come off. A fat quarter is 0.25 yards but only 21″ wide — halve the result.

You Sew Creative is a one-person studio. Every pattern starts as a real piece — drawn, stitched, unpicked, stitched again — and only becomes a PDF once it works in fabric. That is why the instructions read like someone talking you through it rather than a spec sheet.
Patterns are sold as instant downloads through Etsy, so your files are waiting for you the moment you check out. Nothing is posted, nothing gets lost, and you can print the pieces again next year when you want to make a second one.
